


i am a dance artist, maker, performer and researcher based between spain and belgium. graduated in choreography from the higher conservatory of dance of madrid and master in embodied artistic research by the royal conservatory of antwerp.
from a consideration of art as a tool for political and social transformation, my interests lie in interdisciplinary research as a creative methodology, in working with the archive and tradition, and in somatic and corporal practice as a method of thought and reflection.
as a freelance performer, i have collaborated with companies and creators both spain and through europe, among them romeo castellucci, antonio ruz, led silhouette, poliana lima, kor'sia, larumbe danza or bewis de la rosa.
i have also curated, commissioned and collaborated with institutions such as the desingel international arts centre, the reina sofía national museum and arts centre, the university of oviedo or the condeduque centre of contemporary culture.
in the pedagogical field, i have collaborated as a guest teaching classes and workshops at several dance and theater schools in madrid such as danza180, bambudanza, jana producciones or musical impro, as well as within the royal academy of fine arts of antwerp and in festivals of various kinds. furthermore, in 2021 i co-directed a research laboratory around the six viewpoints, a performing philosophy and training method developed by american postmodern dance choreographer mary overlie.
used to creating within a collective with pieces such as borela 36/52 (2017), parpusa mixtape (2020) or zaranda (2022), making torrijas as an act of resistance is my first scenic project as a solo creator.
